This form serves as the official submission for articles to be considered for publication in the Fordham Undergraduate Law Journal (FULJ). The Editorial Board sincerely appreciates the scholarly contributions of all applicants and values the effort invested in advancing undergraduate legal discourse.

Guidelines

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

01Subject Matter

All submissions must pertain to a topic in law or legal studies.

02Originality

Articles must consist of original work authored solely by the individual(s) listed. Submissions must not have been previously published or concurrently under review elsewhere.

03Authorship

Joint authorship is permitted. Each co-author must consent to submission and take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the work.

04Multiple Submissions

Authors may submit more than one article for consideration; however, each submission will be evaluated independently.

05Legal Foundation

Each article must reference at least one relevant law, statute, regulation, or judicial decision.

06Sources

Submissions must integrate both primary and secondary sources. For topics concerning recent developments, current and authoritative sources are strongly encouraged.

07Citation Format

All citations must conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed.).

08Formatting

Manuscripts should be double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman, with 1-inch margins, and include page numbers.

09Abstract

Each submission should include a brief abstract (approximately 150–250 words) summarizing the article’s thesis and central arguments.

10Review Process

All submissions will undergo a blind review by the Editorial Board and Staff Editor(s).

Publication options

Online, Print, or Both.

Authors may submit work to either division, or submit work to both. Review the requirements for each publication format below.

01 / ONLINE

Online Division

  • Page Length: Minimum of 5 pages (excluding references)
  • Authorship: Maximum of two authors per article.
  • This division features concise, timely works addressing current legal developments, emerging issues, or case analyses.

02 / PRINT

Print Division

  • Page Length: Minimum of 15 pages (excluding references)
  • Authorship: Maximum of five authors per article
  • This division publishes comprehensive, research-driven scholarship offering in-depth analysis of significant legal issues.
